How much does it cost to become a pharmacy technician?
Short answer: anywhere from about $500 to $3,000+, depending on where you train. With Foothills it's about $541, start to certified - and you don't pay it all at once.
Pay as you go - not all up front.
Today: $180 to enroll.
When you start: two digital textbooks, about $232.
When you're ready to test: the PTCE exam, about $129, paid to PTCB.
No monthly payments and no surprise fees. Foothills is a PTCB-recognized program built by a licensed pharmacist with 33 years in the field.

Is it worth it?
Pharmacies hire all the time - the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects about 49,000 pharmacy technician openings every year. It's steady healthcare work, it doesn't need a college degree, and certified techs often earn more than uncertified ones. Some employers, like Walmart, pay certified techs more per hour.
If you're working retail, between jobs, or just want something more stable, this is one of the shortest and cheapest paths into healthcare.
